"Three Rocks: The Story of Ernie Bushmiller, The Man Who Created Nancy"

Presented by Bill Griffith

East Haddam author and nationally-syndicated cartoonist Bill Griffith will share his recent biography of Ernie Bushmiller, creator of the comic strip "Nancy," and the importance of Connecticut as a haven for cartoonists past and present.

Bill is the creator of the "Zippy" comic strip that appears daily in more than 200 newspapers nationwide. We'll see Zippy frolicking about in various East Haddam locations!

Pysanky Egg Painting Workshop

Registration is Open!

Join our annual hands-on workshop and create your own wax-resist decorated egg. All materials are included in the registration fee of $40. Slots are limited and fill up fast!

Pre-registration and payment is required prior to the workshop. Credit card payments are preferred and guarantee your spot. If you wish to pay by check, select Promo Code when you register. Your check must be received no later than April 2nd.

Moodus Noises Exhibit

Can you help us? We're constructing a new exhibit about the Moodus Noises, set to open in late May 2025. We'll tell stories and legends from times past, and explain the current science of earthquakes and our very own Noises.

Do you have stories to tell about your experience of the Noises? Did you have a seismometer at home? Moodus rumblings were quite active in the 1970s and 1980s. We'd love to hear from you. Please call us at 860-873-3944 or email us at museum@easthadamhistory.org and we will contact you.
