To make sure members and clubs have access to accurate and accessible safeguarding information (including Wavepower), please can you ensure that your club / County website directs to the Swim England safeguarding webpages, rather than replicating information on your own website.

By linking back to our website, we can make sure all our information remains up-to-date.

If you haven't already done so, please check that your website doesn't refer to Swimline as this is no longer in use.

Senior Coach Programme 2025

The Senior Coach programme will equip you with the knowledge and skills to be able to create and deliver holistic, individualised development programmes which optimise the potential of aspiring athletes, at both youth and senior levels.

This year-long programme is delivered through a blend of online learning and face-to-face workshops. You will also be assigned a mentor who will provide bespoke in situ support throughout the course. To achieve this certificate, you will be also expected to complete a series of assessment tasks to ensure that effective learning and development have taken place.

How coaches can support their athletes during exam season

The exam period can be a difficult time for coaches with their athletes needing to manage their training schedule around their revision.

As coaches, it’s important to support them during this time, as exam season can be a particularly stressful period for young athletes.

Swim England’s coaching team have put together some advice for aquatics coaches to help their athletes both in and out of the pool.

Hints and Tips for clubs

Preparing for the AGM

The AGM is the most formal meeting you can host as a club!

Please review your constitution at least 2 months out to ensure that you follow the rules of your club. For the majority of clubs refer to Section 9, Section 7 and Section 11 for guidance and details on the business to be transacted. Feel free to use Sec 9 as the agenda template. For other clubs, check your constitutions carefully to ensure that your AGM complies.

In the Club Affiliation portal, there is a template for AGM minutes to assist club secretaries.
