Parents Should Complete Annual Registration
The window for the Annual Update for new and returning students will be open on Thursday, April 28th. Parents/Guardians are required to complete residency verification, update emergency contacts and student permissions for all new and returning students before the start of the school year. Registration for 2022-2023 school year will not be completed until the Annual Update has been completed and 22-23 school fees have been paid. To complete the Annual Update, the primary parent/guardian is required to log into their Campus Parent account and update their student’s information before Tuesday, May 31st.
In preparation for the Annual Update, all primary parent/guardians are required to log into their Campus Parent account to ensure they can successfully access their account. If you have forgotten your password or username, click the “Forgot Password” or “Forgot Username” and follow the prompts to reset your account. If you are still unable to reset your account or do not have an account, please submit a request using the Campus Parent Portal Support Form.
New this year! Parents can pay their 22-23 student fees in Campus Parent starting on April 28th. Log into your Campus Parent Portal account and select Fees from the module. Course fees (Driver's education, AP, Dual Credit etc.) based on your student’s schedule will be due at a later date. Optional fees can be paid through the School Store module. Payment will be based on your current fee status, but a new fee waiver for the 2022-23 school year MUST be completed this summer or all fees will become due.
Click here for a quick tutorial on how to set up your account and pay your fees online. For assistance in paying fees, please refer to the Online Campus Pay website. Please contact your child’s school if you have any questions.

NEWS FROM THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
The physical education department recently sponsored a week-long event. We kicked off on Monday April 18th with a message from the American Heart Association. The week was built around a wall dedicated to engaging students to “share their why” by writing their story. Students shared moments, people in their lives, what brings them joy, wonder, and happiness.
Students also had an opportunity to challenge themselves by raising money, getting 8-10 hours of sleep, performing at least one act of kindness each day, and exercising for one hour every day. Here are our results!

Midweek each of our Physical Education students had a choice to further challenge themselves by participating in either a 5K walk or competitive run, NFL combine challenge, or a mini triathlon. We had lots of “firsts” for these kids. It was truly an amazing experience. Top winners from each period were awarded a Demon Dash t-shirt!

We wrapped up the week with our annual spring Vitalent blood drive!
Each donor saved 3 lives!

STUDENTS ATTEND ISTC STEM CHALLENGE
Maine East students attended an ISTC STEM Challenge showcase where they presented their final solution to a challenge presented to them. The challenge was to find a solution to diversify clinical trials to include everyone; while building a community for people participating to feel comfortable and have the opportunity to share their experiences with others.
Out of 27 groups at Maine East, one group from Mr. Gonzalez's Intro to Engineering Design class was selected to present their final solution for the STEM Challenge. After presenting, they received an award for completing the ISTC STEM Challenge and for being a part of the showcase.
