A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Parent Advisory Meeting - Please Join Us!

Please save the date for an event coming up on Monday evening, October 16th at 6:00 p.m. in room D101 (visitor parking lot, enter through main entrance)  Our 2nd Multilingual Parent Advisory Council Meeting.  ALL parents/caregivers are welcome to attend.  This meeting will further discuss the role of our Parent Advisory Council and the meaningful work this group can engage in.  The goal of the Multilingual Parent Advisory Council (M-PAC) is to advocate programs that serve multilingual learners, to help make decisions to ensure the school meets the academic, linguistic, and cultural needs of students, and to actively participate in parent leadership workshops that advance multiliteracy. We would greatly appreciate your support by attending this meeting and learning about how you can get involved!

OCTOBER - COMMUNITY SERVICE

TESS MURPHY

Mr. Eller, math teacher and NHS sponsor shared, “The four pillars of National Honor Society are Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character, and Tess embodies all four of those to her utmost abilities. Not only does she push herself academically and boasts an extremely impressive GPA, but she also makes Maine East better through her unwavering character and her willingness to give back to the school and to the community around her. I know that whenever we have an event that needs help planning or we are in need of volunteers, Tess is going to be one of the first people to help out. She is one of the most dedicated students I have seen and her personality overflows with enthusiasm and joy. Tess is one of those students I feel extremely fortunate to know and have as part of National Honor Society, and I have no doubt that she is going to do amazing things when she graduates from Maine East.”
