The 4350.3 Chapter 5 and Exhibit 5-1 define what is and is not income and whose income is included for all affordable housing programs. Methods of verifying and calculating, however, can and sometimes do differ from program to program and from state to state.


This class takes an in-depth look at the types of earned income including methods of verifying and calculating for HUD, RD, Tax Credit and HOME. Includes Gig Income... Mini-quizzes and case studies are included. Students will need a calculator.

Unlike other types of income, unearned income is included for all household members, regardless of their age. Methods of verifying and calculating unearned income can and sometimes do differ from program to program and from state to state.


This class takes an in-depth look at the various types of unearned income and how they are handled in HUD, RD, Tax Credit and HOME. Includes New Age Assets. Mini quizzes and case studies will be included. Students will need a calculator.
