Board Meeting Highlights

The Board of Directors held its monthly meeting on September 11, 2024.


To communicate and inform owners and tenants of what is happening in Eastbluff, the Board is working with HOA Connection to provide a short email blast highlighting board decisions and issues after each meeting.

  1. No Executive Session meeting was held.
  2. In the Architectural Committee meeting, the Board, acting as the Architectural Review Committee, took action on the following applications. (1) 2531 Blackthorn: approved with conditions a Major Category 1 Application to add floor area and to construct an ADU. (2) 2633 Blackthorn: approved a Minor Category 5 application to replace a front yard fence. (3) 701 Bellis: received administrative approval for a roof replacement.
  3. In the General Session, the Board took the following actions:
  • Listened to a presentation by Robyn Grant, Council Member, and Jamie Murillo, Deputy Community Development Director, on the City of Newport Beach House Element Plan.
  • Approved the August 5, 2024 Board Meeting Minutes.
  • Approved the July 2024 monthly financial reports subject to year-end audit.
  • Reviewed the Association Election timeline with no action.
  • Reviewed the Association Election Rules timeline with no action.
  • Reviewed the Corporate Transparency Act with no action.
  • Reviewed a proposed Neighborhood Survey. Revisions will be made, and the proposed survey will be included in the October meeting agenda.
  • Reviewed the monthly Landscape Committee report & information from EarthCo Landscape with no action.
  • Tabled consideration of proposals for additional improvements to sections of the butterfly garden on the rear slope of Blue Heron Park until the October meeting.
  • Tabled consideration of 2024 goals of the Neighborhood Connection & Welcome Committee until the October meeting due to time constraints.
  • Tabled consideration of the 2024 Event Calendar until the October meeting due to time constraints.
  • Tabled consideration of information from the Tree & Landscape View Committee until the October meeting due to time constraints.

The next meeting of the Board of Directors will take place on October 7, 2024, via Zoom.


The Board encourages all owners to attend the monthly board meetings and stay informed on Association issues.
