2nd Annual Eastchester 5K: A Huge Success!
The 2nd Annual Eastchester 5K was a huge success with over 800 runners and walkers registered for the community event.  All proceeds from this year's event will go to the Library.
A big thank you goes out to the Eastchester Irish-American Social Club who organized the event and to The Temperance Center, the race's Premier Sponsor.  See our sidebar for a full list of the race's sponsors.

Last but certainly not least, thanks go out to all who ran and walked the race route on what turned out to be a beautiful day in late September.  All those who participated are winners in our book!

New registrants must come to the library and bring proof of the child's age (copy of passport, birth certificate, etc.) in order to sign up.  Eastchester and Tuckahoe library card holders receive priority.

The flyer is available on our website.  Feel free to call the Children's Room with any questions.
Upcoming Renovations to Library
Work on the replacement of the library's roof will begin on October first and is expected to continue throughout the month.  The library will be open but there may be a disruption in library service from time to time. Please call the library in advance of your visit for the latest information.

The completion of the project is almost entirely dependent on the weather so it is difficult to say how long it will take. We are looking forward with great anticipation to a future with no leaks!

On Wednesday, October 28th at 7 p.m., we will have a Pizza Party to launch our new Middle Grade Book Chat for 4th & 5th Grades.
