Easter is a time of new beginnings and joyous vocabulary!

Resurrection Greetings
On Zoom and in the Shadow Rock sanctuary, shouts of "Christ is Risen" are affirmed with "Christ is Risen, Indeed."

Coming Together - led by Dr. Rev. Patricia StandTal Clarke
One: Easter takes us by surprise, early in the morning.
Many: The obstacles we expect to face are removed. Where once death and despair laid locked in time now the bright light of hope sprouts wings.
One: Suddenly the realization dawns. It may rise as quietly as the sun creeping over the horizon, or it may explode like fireworks.
Many: We recognize the One who was dead now comes to life in us. Let us celebrate that Christ is risen, risen indeed!

Opening Prayer

Passing the Peace

Singing Our Faith ~ Christ the Lord Is Risen Today
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Let the Victor's people sing, Alleluia!
Where, O Death, is now your sting? Alleluia!
In God's pow'r we too can live, Alleluia!
Striving now to love and give, Alleluia!
Celebrations and Prayer Requests
This is our time to share our lives:
celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, words of kindness and works of peace and justice. We also share our cares, concerns and vulnerabilities.

Celebration Song

Pastoral Prayer - Led by Dr. Rev. Patricia StandTal Clarke

Offering and Invitation to Give
One: The gifts that we bring to this community compound and create resurrection power, helping us to awaken wholeness in the broken, strength in the weakened, and liberation for all living in the midst of injustice. Let us share our generosity with each other and the community.
All: For the wondrous ways this offering will bless this community, help us nurture caring relationships with our neighbors, and do our part to liberate all who are experiencing oppression, we are thankful for the opportunity to give.
All: Let this offering, and the works of our hands and feet, be the resurrection we need to see in the world.

Offertory ~ Special Music Shared by the Cornerstone Chorale, Laudate Dominum
Word About Life - Shared by Dr. Rev. Patricia StandTal Clarke

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been
removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him."
Then Peter and the other disciple set out and went toward the tomb. The two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent down to look in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb. He saw the linen wrappings lying there, and the cloth that had been on Jesus' head, not lying with the linen wrappings but rolled up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead. Then the disciples returned to their homes. But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb; and she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had been lying, one at the head and the other at the feet. They said to her, "Woman, why are you
weeping?" She said to them, "They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him."
When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?" Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away." Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rabbouni!" (which means Teacher). Jesus said to her, "Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord"; and she told them that he had said these things to her.

Sending Forth ~ Every Morning is Easter Morning

Every morning is Easter morning from now on,
Every day’s resurrection day, the past is over and gone,
Good-bye guilt, good-bye fear, welcome to the sun,
I am one of the Easter people, my new life’s begun.
Chorus
Easter morning can happen every day
When, in all you do, new life breaks through,
Yes, Easter’s here to stay.

Every morning is Easter morning from now on,
Every day’s resurrection day, the past is over and gone,
Life is open to us all, haven’t you heard?
Get it straight from the Easter people, get out and spread the Word.
Chorus
Every morning is Easter morning from now on,
Every day’s resurrection day, the past is over and gone,
Share God’s love with everyone, be the best you can be,
Just be one of the Easter people, live the life that’s free.
Chorus
Ending: repeat last line of chorus
