Roots & Wings "Parade, Palms & Prayers" Earns $1000 for Waukegan Food Pantries With 800 Pounds of Food!

You may recall that our Palm Sunday Food Drive goal was 200 pounds; a number set so we could qualify for a $1000 grant from a generous church family. In the 3 days that people dropped off food both at the office and during Sunday's parade, we SMOKED our goal by a factor of 4! Yes, we received 800 pounds of food!

Thanks so much to our Children's Ministry leaders Teddi Koch and Mary Jo Stevenson & Pam Campbell, John Corrigan, Nancy White, and all the wonderfully generous people in our church & community for helping keep under nourished & hungry neighbors fed! (And, thanks to Bill Bartolotta for the cool shot of their Palm Sunday Palms!)

Gazebo Worship Season Set For Each Sunday @ 10:00 a.m. thru May 23; Worship on the Beach Begins May 30!!! Our outdoor worship season this year will be divided between the Gazebo in Lake Bluff (April 4 thru May 23) and Worship on the Beach (Memorial Day Weekend (May 30) until September 19. Beach services will be @ 8:30 & 9:30 a.m. Chairs will be provided at both the Gazebo and the beach, though we encourage those who are able to bring their own chairs to the Gazebo. Also, please remember that until further notice all church services will follow state and local Covid protocols for large public gatherings. Thanks for your cooperation. WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU NEXT SUNDAY!
