All 3 Village Markets Re-Opened
We would like to thank you for your overwhelming support at this time. Unfortunately, we have been unable to keep up with all the orders coming in and have decided to move in a different direction. Starting tomorrow Wednesday, April 1st, we will be re-opening the store to the public with the following safety mechanisms implemented:

1. Fewer registers open and spread further apart
2. Safety shields between the customers and cashiers
3. Social distancing markers on the floor near the registers
If you have placed an order and it has not been confirmed by our staff via phone, we will be contacting you in the order your message was received tomorrow. We will still offer curbside service as an option, but customers who respect the policies stated above will be allowed in the store. We will be resuming operations with the same 9 am to 6 pm schedule we started last week, with 9 am to 10am reserved for elderly, pregnant, and immunocompromised customers. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

There are 3 easy ways to place an order for curbside pickup. Texting, email and lastly by voice.
Placing an order is simple. If you choose to send an order by text or email please include the item name, item size, quantity that you would like as well as your name and phone number. If product substitutions are permitted, let us know if our staff member can contact you while shopping to offer alternative options.

For orders that are 20 items or less you are welcome to leave your list on our Curbside Service Voicemail. Again, we need the item name, item size, quantity that you would like as well as your name and phone number. If you would like to place your order with a staff member please leave a message with your name and phone number and we will call you as soon as possible.

Once your order has been placed we will call to confirm we have received it, as well as arrange payment by credit card and schedule a pickup time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work the kinks out of this new service. Thank you for being a loyal VM customer!

COMMUNITIES JOINING TOGETHER

On behalf of the project team at TART Trails and Top of Michigan Trails Council, together with Networks Northwest, we are thrilled to introduce the Nakwema (nah-KWAY-mah) Trailway, formerly known as the Traverse City ↔ Charlevoix Trail.

Nakwema, Ojibwe for “where paths connect,” passes through seven townships and three counties, offering the premier trail experience to explore our unique region through active transportation and non-motorized recreation.

Nakwema pays homage to the people who first created these routes, and the lands and waters it winds through. Promoting a healthy environment, thriving economies, and resilient communities, the Trailway contributes to the existing vibrancy and vitality of northwest Lower Michigan. Continue Reading

Here are tons of fun things to do at home for the entire family.

Greetings!

We wanted to take a moment and check in with you. Like you, we are taking a moment to read the ever-changing flow of the situation, and identify a plan to best navigate these uncharted rapids.

We believe that access to nature is critical during these times and will continue to be. Therefore, thanks to incredible donors who helped us create a successful capital campaign, we are working with local businesses to finish the tasks needed to open the Chain of Lakes Water Trail this summer, continuing to positively impact our region during these times. We know that once we are able to travel again, even more people will be looking for experiences like this to reconnect with nature and loved ones and we look forward to welcoming you and others to the Chain of Lakes Water Trail.

Due to changing economic conditions, we are evaluating the continuation of other programs. We are pausing to assess our summer programming as well as our Ripple Effect Mini Grant Program. We are working with key stakeholders to determine how we can best encourage people to get out on the water in a safe manner. We will make thoughtful decisions in the coming months and will keep you informed of our actions and our progress.

With your support, we will continue to work hard to fulfill our mission to protect our waterways and connect people to nature! Thank you, and stay safe. We look forward to our days out on the water with you again!!

Warmest Regards,

Deana
