SEEDS ............. . April 8, 2020
Our Easter Sunday worship
will be joyful and triumphant, albeit virtual in nature. Our musicians are rehearsing a prelude by Henry Purcell that is meant for trumpet, and is being performed by Jorge Avila on violin and Nancy King on organ. Trudy Weaver Miller and John-Arthur Miller have a special choral introit ready and all of us are invited to sing favorite Easter hymns. We will have flowers by the altar, readings by Ed Valentine, Kelly Karas behind the scenes as our digital missioner and a thought-provoking sermon, as always, by Pastor Erik.
Please join us by clicking on either Facebook or YouTube below. You may download the bulletin ahead of time. Sunday morning live worship is at 10:00.
WOW Christ Trinity Church!!! You're AMAZING!!!
Our community came together and ordered 81 meals from  The Marketplace Cafe  for school families! The schools "dream" number was 60 family meals! Thank you to everyone who called in and ordered to take care of our neighbors!! But wait, there's more! Because we didn't need the grant money to buy any school meals this week, we're using all of this week's grant money to buy 75 weekend meals for seniors from John Andrew's Restaurant on Saturday. How's that for an Easter story!

If you would like to help next week:

1.     Call the Marketplace at 413-248-5040 (ext 2) before Tuesday at noon.
2.     Order a School Family Meal and pay for it over the phone.
3.     The Marketplace will deliver a dinner for four to the school on Friday.
4.     The school staff will send it home with those they know could use it most.
5.     Repeat each week until we are through this crisis.

Virtual Coffee Hour

Pour your coffee and log on to your computer at 11:00 Sunday morning after our live-streamed service for a  Virtual Coffee Hour on Zoom . As we try on different ways of having social cohesion amidst physical distancing, we want to experiment with ways of maintaining community. Zoom is a community meeting tool that can be put to a variety of uses. You will be best served if you have a computer or a tablet with video and sound capabilities. Alternatively, you can dial in on a phone. On a phone you can hear and participate in the conversation, but you won’t see other people, like those with a video connection.   Links and phone numbers are below. Note the password.

Supporting the church during the crisis
Thank you to all the folks who are continuing to send in contributions via the mail. If that has gotten a little tedious, try signing up for Tithe.ly by clicking the button below.
Railroad Street Youth Project
Railroad Street Youth Project is now operating virtually, moving activities that
had been held at the drop-in center in Great Barrington online through
Facebook meetups, Google Hangouts and Zoom. Essential services like
one-on-one mentoring, LGBTQ+ support, the youth operational board and
other key activities are ongoing. And the staff is continuing to
identify and fulfill new needs among young people in South County such
as food insecurity due to school closures and/or health and safety
issues as people are sheltering in place.

If you are a young person and need emotional or practical support
while you’re stuck at home, or just want to connect with other youth
aged 14-25 who are doing fun stuff, RSYP is here for you! Message us
on social media, visit the website at  rsyp.org  or email  info@rsyp.org .
A Former Church Musician
I had been a diligent, devoted Lutheran since serving as musician in my country church in Indiana, then with the Chaplain's Corp in the U.S. Army in Germany, and finally teaching at a Lutheran school in the Bronx. Once I moved to the Berkshires, I floated - without a stable parish to attend. An auto accident propelled me to Christ Trinity and Now! I have found my Christian Home! Thanks be to God.
