Year Long Volunteer Spring Retreat

National Poetry Month
In honor of National Poetry Month, Christ House compiled a selection of poetry written by former patients. Poetry offers patients an avenue for self-expression and creativity which can assist in overall mental health and recovery. Read the selection of poems in our latest blog post!

Year Long Volunteer Reflection
One of our Year Long Volunteers, Avanish, shares his reflections on his time at Christ House. Although he has a number of different responsibilities in his role as respite care assistant, he values his one-on-one time with patients the most.
"Christ House is a critical part of our infrastructure that offers a place for people to get medical support and especially a place to stay after a hospital visit.

Monthly donations ensure that I can maximize my own giving by spreading donations across the year, rather than trying to give a lot to several different organizations all at once.

Since we still lack universal access to basic housing, rehabilitative medicine, and caregiving, I am glad that Christ House offers a safe, healthy, stable place for people to recover and regain the strength needed for survival."
