Coronavirus Update #23

I plan to publish an update video each week until we get the 'all clear'. Hopefully this won't be too much longer.
Mass Reopening Plan - On-Hold
Governor Baker has paused the whole re-opening process. After 7 weeks in Phase 3 we have no indication that we'll get to Phase 4 (the 'new' normal) any time soon. With the size of gatherings reduced to 50 (outdoors) and 25 (indoors) we are adjusting how we get out and about.

The news that I expect to hear this coming week is mostly about the schools. How are they going to 'happen' this school year?

As mentioned last week, there is evidence that the Governor will wait for a widely available vaccine AND good numbers before he'll announce Phase 4.

Eastham had no new cases of COVID-19 this week, keeping our total at 14. The Barnstable County total number is 1579. Cape Cod Hospital currently has zero COVID patients.
.
Below is Gov Baker's chart, redrawn (again) so we can track our progress. I'll try to maintain this chart so that the key dates remain front and center. The Governor has said that Phase 3 will be 'substantially' longer than the prior phases. The chart below is my tracking of our progress. Check out the full list at 'Reopening Massachusetts'.
I Am MOVE SAFECertified

Eastham Windmill ...
The Eastham Windmill, located on the Green in the center of Town, was built in Plymouth about 1680. It was moved to Truro in the 1770s and then to Eastham in 1793 to its first location where the National Seashore Salt Pond Visitor Center is now located, and then to its present site in 1808. Lovingly restored and maintained, it is both the oldest and the last working gristmill on the Cape.

Sellers: We are firmly in a Sellers' market. Inventory is historically low. Well priced homes are selling quickly. I'd be happy to provide a no-obligation market analysis of your Cape home. Please give me a call.
