I plan to publish an update video each week until we get the 'all clear'. Hopefully this won't be too much longer.
Mass Reopening Plan - On-Hold
The State's re-opening process remains 'On Hold'. After 9 weeks in Phase 3 we have no indication that we'll get to Phase 4 (the 'new' normal) any time soon. The State's Travel Order website, supporting the new (8/1) travel restrictions keeps track of the 'Good' vs 'Bad' states. New 'Good' states are Wyoming, Oregon, and Washington State. Interestingly, Rhode Island remains on the 'Bad' list. The Travel Order website is HERE. I question the practical nature of having some far-away states on the list since I doubt that there are direct flights from Boston to anywhere in Wyoming (for example). .

Eastham had no new cases of COVID-19 this week, keeping our total at 14. The Barnstable County total number is 1661 (up 37 from last week). Cape Cod Hospital currently has only one COVID patients.
Below is Gov Baker's chart, redrawn (again) so we can track our progress. I'll try to maintain this chart so that the key dates remain front and center. The Governor has said that Phase 3 will be 'substantially' longer than the prior phases. The chart below is my tracking of our progress. Check out the full list at 'Reopening Massachusetts'.

Eastham Windmill Weekend Sand Art
This year's Windmill Weekend has been cancelled. That isn't news. One of the parts of the weekend that i'll miss the most is the sand-art contest, held at First Encounter Beach.

The 2007 sand-art contest was filmed and uploaded to YouTube. Nice. Enjoy.
