Anticipation
When I was a kid, I absolutely loved riding roller coasters. I grew up in Eastern Ohio and there were three or four amusement parks within two hours of my hometown, and a day trip to one of those parks was often my family’s summer vacation. Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh. Idora Park in Youngstown. Geauga Lake in Aurora. I looked forward to those park days excited that I would get to ride my favorite coasters.

For me, this time of year is a little bit like that roller coaster going up the first hill. We have spent the summer planning for the new school year.

Four Bioscience Students Take Top-10 Honors at HOSA Conference
The 2022 HOSA-Future Health Professionals international conference was held in Nashville, Tenn. June 22-25, where a host of Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical students traveled to represent and compete against students from across the country and internationally. The Bioscience satellite program, hosted at Gahanna Lincoln High School, witnessed 12 of its students present projects on various topics with four placing in the top 10 of their respective categories.

Congratulations to Landon Keenan '22 (Gahanna Lincoln) and rising senior Eliza Brofford (Gahanna Lincoln) on placing inside the top 10 in their respective categories!
EFCTS Introduces 1:1 Technology to its students
Eastland-Fairfield will be introducing 1:1 Technology to its students across the District for the 2022-23 school year. Each student will have the opportunity to possess and use a new Google Chromebook at the start of the year. Upon completion of their program, the student may elect to permanently possess their Chromebook.

Each family must complete the EFCTS Technology 1:1 Chromebook Device Agreement in order to take advantage of the program. Families may choose to be issued a Chromebook for school use only, meaning that the student must return their assigned Chromebook to a designated area at the end of the school day OR may choose to be issued a Chromebook for school and home use, allowing the student to take their device home. Families that do not complete the Device Agreement will not be issued a Chromebook.

NOTE: The 1:1 Technology program does NOT apply to students enrolled in a satellite program.

If you have additional questions about 1:1 Technology use at Eastland-Fairfield or would like hard copies of the AUP form, please click the button below or visit www.EastlandFairfield.com/1to1.
