Vicki Huey Named Assistant Principal at ECC
Congratulations to Ms. Vicki Huey, who was selected and received Board of Education approval to become the second assistant principal at Eastland Career Center. Ms. Huey is now in her seventh year at Eastland-Fairfield after joining the District in 2016. She began as the lead intervention specialist while teaching English/Language Arts and math at ECC. In 2019, she took on the role of Coordinator of Student Support Systems at ECC.

We are excited to have Ms. Huey in this role and can't wait to see her continued impact on our students!

What is a "Satellite Program" at EFCTS?
We often reference "satellite programs" when we talk about what high school options are available at Eastland-Fairfield. But what is a satellite program? Well, the easy answer is that it is a program offered by Eastland-Fairfield but is housed inside one of our associate schools, not on the ECC or FCC campus. They are still taught by Eastland-Fairfield instructors and the curriculum is still built by EFCTS. These programs are available to any eligible student that is interested, regardless of their home school, and offer a unique experience in addition to life-changing programming.
So, what are the biggest differences?
The biggest difference is that students in a satellite program will default to the host school's schedule. This means you'll want to pay special attention to the news that comes from the school hosting your program, such as calamity days.

Other notable differences:
  • You must be able to provide your own transportation.
  • You follow the host school dress code.
  • You can take academics at the school hosting your lab program if you choose, pending availability of classes.
What Satellite programs are available through Eastland-Fairfield?
Eastland-Fairfield offers eight different satellite programs stationed inside four different associate high schools. They include:

Gahanna Lincoln

New Albany-Plain Local

Groveport Madison

Pickerington North
