Dear Eastview Family and Friends,

What a wonderful way to welcome in the new year! The month of January brought Eastview students and staff many exciting things to celebrate. In our classrooms, students have been working hard, dedicated to learning new material and staying focused on personal learning goals. As a school, we completed our One School, One Book reading of Because of Winn Dixie. This was a wonderful opportunity to build community and work on our literacy skills at the same time. It also gave us the chance to give back to our community, as students and staff made donations to our Lakeland Animal Shelter drive. Thank you to all who donated to such a wonderful cause!

At the conclusion of the second quarter, we had the opportunity to celebrate our students and the positive character traits that they have been displaying at school. Students were able to spend their Eagle Earnings at our second quarter auction. A huge thank you to the PTO for donating a number of prizes for our students! Lastly, we were able to recognize our January Leader of the Pack winners, students who are nominated by their peers for showing outstanding character around the trait of problem-solving. We are so proud of all of our students and the many challenges they have been able to successfully overcome this school year.

As we move into the month of February, we will continue to celebrate the amazing things we are achieving each and every day in our school and in our classrooms. I thank you for your continued support of our students, our teachers, our school, and our community. It definitely takes a team for success, and we are glad to have you as a part of it. Enjoy your month of February!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Erin Zigler

Congratulations to these students, each of whom was nominated by their peers for consistently modeling excellent

FOR GOOD HEALTH,
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT FACE MASKS ARE WASHED REGULARLY, AND THAT EACH MASK IS USED ONLY
FOR ONE DAY!

Don't forget about the Daily
At-Home Health Check!

Please complete it daily prior to sending your student to school. It is vital to ask the questions on the checklist each and every day to prevent the possibility of exposing other students or staff. This checklist is to be reviewed at home daily, on the honor system. It is not required to be handed into the school. Thank you!
Look at these beautiful wings! Each one of our Eastview Eagles created a unique feather in Mrs. Wiswell's art class. What will make YOU soar this year?

Our 2nd Quarter EAGLE EARNINGS auction was a rousing success! A big THANK YOU to our awesome PTA and
Eastview staff for donating so many wonderful prizes.
Check out some of the awesome items our students won!

IMPORTANT!
Please add Eastview's phone number to your phone's contacts list, so you will know it is your child's school calling. Thank you!

FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AT SCHOOL
The Lake Geneva School District has received an extension for the Federal Summer Food Service Program. Lake Geneva Schools students are eligible for one FREE breakfast and one FREE lunch daily for the entire 2020-2021 school year. We encourage each student to take advantage of our nutritious meals at no cost. This will require no action on your part, just show up! Additional meals, milk, or a la carte purchases will be debited from your student's account. If your family has already paid toward your lunch balance we ask that you please leave the balance for future use. Thank you.

Please note that the elementary milk break is not included in the waiver, because it is a state program. The cost for milk break is $50 per year unless a free and reduced application is returned and approved.

New virtual students that would like to pick-up meals please contact Donna Ecklund at 262-348-1015.
