The Importance of Daily Reading
|
At Eastview, we have set a goal that all student read uninterrupted for 30 minutes a day from a "just right fit book" that they choose. Each day, students practice their reading stamina by building up to this 30 minutes. Ask your student how they choose a "just right fit book." Read the link below for ideas about how to encourage reading at home

About those cell phones....
Please remember that bringing cell phones to school is strongly discouraged. If a student chooses to bring one, it must remain off and in their backpack during the school day. We do not have lockers to keep them secure. Parents can always relay messages from home by calling the office, and we will be sure your student receives them!

We have a tradition at Eastview in which the entire school eats together for a Thanksgiving Feast. Our feast will be November 2oth. Watch for a flyer to come home that will explain what families can bring. We are sorry, but due to space limitations this is a student-only event. Also, a reminder that
Thanksgiving break will begin on Wednesday, November 21st, and classes resume on Monday,Nov.26.
