Not only at Thanksgiving, but every day, we are grateful for
our Eastview community! The children we do our "school life"
with are among our greatest blessings.
Thank you, parents, for sharing them with us!

There will be NO SCHOOL November 27-29. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!

Can YOU spare a couple of hours next week? We are still in need of volunteers to help our students shop at the

CARDBOARD
CHALLENGE
2019!
Once again, students from Ms. Harkey and Mrs. Nor's 4th grade classrooms amazed and astounded us with their creativity and awesome teamwork, as they cut and measured, bent and glued, in order to create our very own cardboard game arcade!
Students and staff alike enjoyed playing the games, and we are very proud of all who participated.

|
For the safety of our students, please ALWAYS observe the following:
- Do NOT use the bus lane. The crosswalk is used all day long, and students need to be able to cross safely.
- Please do NOT park in the "No Parking" zones by the islands, as this creates traffic flow issues.
- If using Sage Street for drop off or pick up, please park your car and meet your students at the top of the hill. We do not have crossing guards to cross the children at that intersection.
|
|
End of the Day Transportation!!
End of the day bus and pick-up changes must be made
no later than 3:00 PM.
While we make every effort to notify teachers of changes,
it is most effective if a note is sent with your child in their Take Home Folder.

The presence of digital technology in our daily lives has made it a
must f
or your child to be keyboard proficient. This invaluable skill will serve your child well in life now and in their future. With this in mind, in November, we will begin practice with an online subscription program called
Typing Pals
.
This program individualizes your child's learning and practice of keyboard typing skills. Some tips:
Learn to type using the
HOME ROW
,
keeping hands steady
over the keys.
- Do not rush when you just start learning.
- Take your time when typing to avoid mistakes.
- The speed will pick up as you progress.
Please encourage the acquisition of typing by asking what letters your child is practicing this week.
|
Please join us for the next meeting of the
Eastview PTO
Have fun getting involved
with your child's
school community!
MONDAY, DECEMBER 9
6:00 PM AT STARBUCKS
(downtown location)
Hope to see you there!
