MATT WILHELM AND THE AMAZING
ANTI-BULLYING BMX ASSEMBLY!

We were honored and delighted to welcome BMX National Champion Matt Wilhelm and his anti-bullying program to Eastview! In his program, Matt seeks to empower kids to stand up for others, stand up for themselves, and be everyday heroes. Some of the important topics he discussed with our students include:

  • Why kindness and respect are important
  • Bullying: What it is and what it is not
  • The myth of “Just Joking”
  • The difference between bystanders and up-standers
  • The power of words / Think before you speak
  • Everyone is different and being different makes you great!
  • The importance of positive self-talk
  • Anything is possible with a “Never Give Up” attitude
  • The myth of the “overnight success”
  • Hard work pays off
  • And much more!!!
September 25 was Bullying Awareness Day, and Eastview came out in a sea of blue to show our commitment to stopping bullying in it's tracks! #choosekindness

  • 8:20 Supervision starts, and students may arrive at school
  • 8:20-8:35 Walking Club on the playground lot
  • 8:20-8:35 Breakfast is served
  • 8:35 Students enter the building to start their day
  • 8:40 Instruction begins
  • 3:37 Pick ups and walkers are dismissed
  • 3:40 Bus students are dismissed
For the safety of our students, please ALWAYS observe the following:

  • Do NOT use the bus lane. The crosswalk is used all day long, and students need to be able to cross safely.
  • Please do NOT park in the "No Parking" zones by the islands, as this creates traffic flow issues.
  • If using Sage Street for drop off or pick up, please park your car and meet your students at the top of the hill. We do not have crossing guards to cross the children at that intersection.
End of the Day Transportation!!

End of the day bus and pick-up changes must be made
no later than 3:00 PM.

While we make every effort to notify teachers of changes, it is most effective if a note is sent with your child in their Take Home Folder.

We are proud to recognize one of our 5th Grade Eagles, Jackson, for his role as Honorary Chairman of this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's.
Jackson's commitment and dedication is an inspiration, as he seeks to both honor his great-grandfather's memory and lead the fight to eradicate Alzheimer's
in his lifetime.
Well done, Jackson!
THANK YOU, MRS. ZIGLER! WE APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU DO!
