We Make YOUR Travel Plans EASY
July did not start out as planned. I should have been in Chicago at the Abilities Expo but instead I was at Baylor Rehabilitation Institute recovering from hip replacement surgery. No fireworks for me this year!

Steve and his daughter, Sarah, did an outstanding job manning the booth. Steve presented the Travel Workshop on Friday and Saturday and had rave reviews for the information and the comedic twist! He gets lots more laughs than I do. Many thanks to Michelle Pharr from Royal Caribbean who came to Chicago to learn about travel for the disabled and to lend a helping hand which was greatly appreciated in light of the record crowds. We have had an incredible response from this show and hope to see many of you on future trips. Thanks to all for stopping by!

UPDATE...DEB’S MEDICAL NEWS! I've been home for two weeks and keeping very busy with work and finalizing all the plans for our Alaska Cruise August 4. Doctor gave me clearance to go as long as I keep following the hip precautions and don't overdo. Never sure what that means! I'm definitely on the mend and healing well and looking forward to picking up some speed!

PACKING TIPS
photo of attractive brunette woman packs her clothes.
Thought I'd share my favorite packing tip with all of you...PACKING CUBES!

I love packing cubes because they keep me super organized, make it easy to find what I need and keep my clothes wrinkle free. When you arrive at your destination just pull out the cubes and place on a shelf or in a drawer and you're good to go!

Sets of packing cubes in various sizes are very affordable and worth every cent. My favorite website to purchase them on is EBags. I also buy luggage on this site.

Packing for two? Use one color for you and another color for the other person. For more information
Planning Ahead
USA, landmarks USA, suitcase and New York
At Easy Access Travel we are always planning ahead and giving serious thought to where we should go next. Did you know that the two critical factors in choosing a destination are securing enough availability of ADA Accessible Accommodations and access to proper vehicles with ramps and/or lifts and tie downs?

As you can imagine, this is why planning land trips can be so daunting. Likewise, this is why cruises are so popular because cruise ships have gotten very good about having proper facilities for travelers with disabilities.

So, that said, we are planning ahead and thinking about some U.S. destinations to take you to. Please let us know if you're interested in visiting our nation's capital in 2020.
Need a Scooter?
We can help!
Do you need to rent a scooter or other mobility equipment for your next cruise or land trip?
Be sure and let us know and we can make arrangements for you through Special Needs Group.

Standard and heavy duty scooters, wheelchairs, hospital beds, hoyer lifts, lift chairs, oxygen and more are all possibilities for you when you travel.
Accessible South Africa
A lot of people were disappointed when our trip to South Africa sold out so quickly. We are seriously considering another trip in 2019.

We will only have space for 10 participants so please contact us to be placed on the interest list.

Once we have enough names, we will firm up dates, itinerary and pricing.
Do you have a travel tip you'd like to share? Send it to us [email protected] and it may be in the next newsletter.

Sincerely,

Debra Kerper
