We are thrilled to announce that Jungle Friends is teaming up with The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation to raise funds for fruit trees for the 26 FDA squirrel monkeys who now call Jungle Friends their forever home.
We affectionately refer to these 26 monkeys as the FDA Boys, as they retired from terminated FDA nicotine studies.This was the FIRST TIME EVER the FDA has retired research monkeys to a sanctuary! See the CNN story here.
Their outdoor habitats, indoor enclosures, and runways are almost completed! Now, we need to landscape their habitats, and hopefully this will include beautiful fruit trees.
