On why eating is a moral act

Ranch Foods Direct owner Mike Callicrate will make a special presentation Friday, June 21, in Denver with James Ennis, Executive Director of the National Catholic Rural Life Conference. The two will address "The Ethics of Eating: Why Eating is a Moral Act" during the Catholic Press Association's Catholic Media Conference at the Denver Marriott Tech Center.

Bill Howard, editor of the Colorado Catholic Herald, calls the event "the largest gathering of Catholic media in North America," adding that "this year it's in our backyard." In addition to the privilege of hosting religious journalists from around the world, "it's double special that we can have Mike and Jim Ennis together to really get into some good discussion" regarding the ethics of food and agriculture.

The session is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday, June 21. Guests are welcome to attend the presentation by registering for a one-day visitors pass, which includes admission to all activities held that day; CLICK HERE for registration information. (Registration for the full 3-day conference is also available.)

The National Catholic Rural Life Conference was formed in 1923 with a unique mission to serve rural churches, people and communities.
