Care Changes. Caring Doesn't.
The Somerville Hospital Emergency Department is closing on April 30 and CHA Urgent Care is opening the same day, in the same location.
This change is part of the
Healthy Somerville plan
developed with the City of Somerville. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, few patients are using the Somerville Hospital Emergency Department, making it clear community needs have changed. Our new
Urgent Care center
(open every day 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) will allow us to continue serving you, even in a time of crisis.

Keeping PACE with Change
CHA PACE
,
our Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly, transformed how they care for participants -- all of whom are over 55 and vulnerable.
“
We’re used to seeing people almost every day,” explained Tara Sherman, CHA PACE Nurse Manager. “We had to figure out how to adapt in ways we never imagined.”

Fill Out Census 2020
Every ten years, every person in the United States gets counted. If you haven’t already, you’ll receive an invitation to respond to a short questionnaire – online, by phone, or by mail. You can complete the form
online, one for each person living in your home.
It’s safe to fill it out, even if you don’t have papers. All responses are confidential.
It’s important to get counted. Planning for services in your community is based on how many people live there. If you don’t get counted, funding could be cut for hospitals, schools, fire departments, roads and a lot more. Census workers will be knocking on your door to help you complete the form. You can make their job easier by filling out the form online. Go to
my2020census.gov and get counted today!

Thank you for your support
Almost every day for the past several weeks, many people have given to CHA. We’ve received food donations from local restaurants, homemade masks, flowers, inspiring signs and notes, and much needed financial support. Your support gives us hope. Transforming an entire healthcare system to respond to COVID-19 is costly but necessary. Please contact the
CHA Foundation
if you’d like to make a gift to CHA. Any amount helps.
