Info for Seniors:

All college bound Seniors should complete the FAFSA!!

What is the FAFSA? Free application for federal aid.
To apply for most financial aid - including federal and state student grants, work-study, and loans - you'll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Oct. 1 is the first day you can file the FAFSA. You should try to file as close to this date as possible. College, state and private aid deadlines may be much earlier than federal deadlines. You should pay attention to your colleges' priority financial aid deadlines. It's a good idea to file your FAFSA as early as possible, so that you can get a jump on other financial aid applications (state or institutional aid) that might have earlier deadlines.
*Do you need assistance with your FAFSA? UNT will be here on Thursday, Nov 15th from 6-7:30pm!! Please click here to reserve your spot!

It is time to start your Apply Texas account! Most public colleges in Texas will use the Apply Texas application. Get started now!

** Are you a first generation college student?
We would like to offer your student the chance to participate in a small group counseling opportunity for first generation college students.  Being a part of a group is an excellent way for students to learn new skills, develop self-confidence, and become more aware of the college and financial aid process. The purpose of this group is to aid first generation college students in their college preparation and readiness to transition out of high school. To sign up for the group please fill out this form.
Questions? Please contact Mrs. Marcela Southerland at [email protected]

We want to celebrate you and your accomplishments!!!
As you begin receiving college acceptances and scholarship offers, please bring a copy of your letters to Mrs. Elifrits in the Counseling Center. You may also email a copy to [email protected]. This is for all colleges/scholarships, not just the ones you accept. Also, if you are planning to join the military, please stop by and let us know which branch and your recruiter's name. Failure to turn in your information could result in you not being recognized at the Senior awards program.
