Over the past few months, Cal-Waste’s Education Team has been engaging students at Hazel Fischer Elementary School with hands on recycling education programs focused on protecting our environment and community.
As part of our annual Earth Day program, Earth Day poster contest materials were distributed to students at Hazel Fischer Elementary. Students are currently creating their posters, and we look forward to collecting their submissions soon. Winning posters will be returned to the school in April along with prizes for the students who participate.
Our Education Team also provides recycling education workshops that teach students about recycling, composting, and how everyday actions can help protect our environment. These interactive presentations help students better understand how to recycle right and reduce waste in their homes and community.
Through classroom visits, workshops, and the Earth Day poster contest, Cal-Waste is excited to help students at Hazel Fischer Elementary learn how to recycle right and care for the beautiful communities of the Ebbetts Pass Corridor.
