Eblen Charities January 2021 Newsletter

To all our Eblen friends and family, we hope the new year finds you doing well!

Thanks to your generosity, Eblen Charities helped more than 12,000 people with emergency assistance last year. The Western North Carolina community is still hurting and needs ongoing support to keep people housed, warm, safe and healthy!

Jersey Mike's Month of Giving
March 2021

We're happy to announce we'll partner with Jersey Mike's Month of Giving this coming March. This will not only be an important fundraiser at a much needed time, but also a safe way to raise funds for people in need.

Look for our official announcement next month with full details on how to participate.
The Saint Nicholas Project

Thank you for your support of the 2020 Saint Nicholas Project!

The 1,200 families we helped this season were grateful to you for making helped make their family’s Christmas memorable for their children! This year we collected and distributed toys, books, clothing, food, and bicycles to nearly 3,000 children. We’re grateful to all of our partners and supporters: Ingles Markets, Smoky Mountain Toy Run, WLOS-TV, iHeartRadio, Asheville Citizen-Times, Great Beginnings Pediatric Dentistry and Great Smiles, Two Men and a Truck, Smoky Mountain HOG, Toy Run riders, The Better Life Foundation with 3 Doors Down, Toy Drive participants, SKULL Garage, financial contributors, Saint Nicholas Steering Committee, and all the area business toy collectors, school clubs, girl scouts, church groups, and volunteers and many others! Special thanks to the 300 volunteers who gave more than 1,600 volunteer hours to help make Christmas possible for those in need.
Winter Coat Distribution

We partnered last month with Western Carolina Rescue Ministries to distribute the approximately 1,000 coats we had collected. This partnership helped us get the coats quickly to people in need late in 2020 at a crucial time. Special thanks to Michael Woods and team at Western Carolina Rescue Mission!
