Eblen Charities May 2021 Newsletter
2021 is our 30th year of operation in Buncombe County assisting our neighbors who are struggling. Through these 30 years our mission has not waivered, “The mission of Eblen Charities is to provide assistance to families and individuals in our community during times of crisis and hardship whether medical, financial or emergency need.” Thank you to all those who have participated in the events highlighted here and for supporting us in our efforts to help those in our community during their times of crisis.

The 20th Anniversary Walk, Run or Roll Virtual
Presented by: Beverly-Hanks REALTORS
Raises $24,445

We're so grateful for the support of the 20th Anniversary Walk, Run or Roll. This year was all virtual, as in planning this year's Walk, we did not feel as though we could have our big Walk event. However, it was still important to raise funds for the increasing number of families seeking help- many of which are still affected by the pandemic. Because of the generosity of our community, we raised more than $24,000. Special thanks to Neal Hanks, Beverly-Hanks president and Eblen Board Member, for serving as honorary chair, the Walk sponsors, fundraisers and those who donated to help us help our community in need. We are looking forward to an in-person event next spring!

A Record-Breaking Jersey Mike's Month of Giving for Eblen Charities
Preliminary figures from Jersey Mike's Month of Giving this past March estimated to be $27,000, but once everything was tallied and totaled, the amount raised was even bigger and better! Thank you Asheville for helping raise $34,000 by supporting the Jersey Mike's Month of Giving.

During our three year partnership, our local Jersey Mike's restaurants have donated more than $60,000 to support the efforts of Eblen Charities.

Thank you again to everyone at Jersey Mike’s for your support!
