Pax Christi France

Goma hosted the Youth Peace Camp from 15 to 17 June 2026, an initiative led by Pax Christi France and Africa Reconciled as part of the “Vacances Pacifiques” project.


In a region often marked by tensions, the camp provided 30 young people with comprehensive training to help them become peace leaders in their communities.

Pax Christi Austria

During the Peacewalk through Austria, several Pax Christi Austria sections accompanied and supported the pilgrims at various stages of the journey. In Innsbruck, Salzburg and Passau, excursions and meetings with local communities were organised, while Michael Huber-Kirchberger joined the group in Passau, where more than 50 people took part in an event in the Cathedral Square.


The pilgrims then continued their journey through Austria, carrying the Flame of Hope with them. The journey offered opportunities for encounter and dialogue among the international group and local communities.

The Federal Executive Board of pax christi Germany has called on the German government to finally take effective action towards the Israeli government to end the violence against the Palestinian population in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, and to stop obstructing the European Union’s efforts in this regard.


Otherwise, the German government will bear a significant share of responsibility for every further displacement and every additional death and injury.

Pax Christi Italy

Between May and June, Pax Christi Italy launched “Women for Peace”, a series of reflections on the role women play, and should play, in shaping and implementing peacebuilding and reconciliation processes and, more broadly, in society as a whole.

Pax Christi Scotland

On August 6, Pax Christi Scotland chair Marian Pallister and a number of members of the Scottish peace organisation from Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow joined the peace vigil organised by Justice and Peace Scotland at the North Gate of Faslane nuclear submarine base.


This annual event, co-badged by Pax Christi Scotland, commemorates the destruction of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 by the first atom bombs. It also brings together faith leaders and peace groups to pray for an end to weapons of mass destruction.
