Pax Christi France


Facing the urgency of the situation in Palestine, Pax Christi France, together with other organisations, has launched the “Christian Forum for Justice in Palestine”: an ecumenical space for dialogue, reflection and concrete action for the Churches in France.

Pax Christi Austria


During the “Long Night of Churches”, Pax Christi Upper Austria organised a prayer for peace at the parish church of Pichl bei Wels, focused on the theme of the “unarmed struggle for an unarmed peace”, as highlighted in Pope Leo’s message for the World Day of Peace.


This was followed by a short lecture by President Michael Huber-Kirchberger on 81 years of Pax Christi’s commitment to peace, from its origins in reconciliation work between Germans and French to its current priorities, including the theme of civil defence in Austria.

85 years after Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union, pax christi Germany commemorates the millions of victims of the Nazi war of extermination and Germany’s special historical responsibility toward the peoples of Eastern Europe.


At the same time, the Catholic peace movement calls for intensified diplomatic initiatives to end the war in Ukraine and establish a new European peace order.
