Pax Christi France


Israeli and Palestinian women gathered in Rome on March 24 to march together for peace. This high-profile, symbolic march marks the launch of the international campaign “Mothers’ Call”.


Despite obstacles and unfavorable geopolitical conditions, Palestinian and Israeli women were able to obtain visas and make their way to the event via Jordan after many long hours of waiting. Pax Christi France stood by their side.

Pax Christi Austria


On 14 April 2026 Pax Christi Austria issued a statement on social defence. In it, the organisation criticises that also Austria is increasing spending on weapons, although it admits that buying defensive drones and rockets is reasonable and justifyable.


In the course of a reform of military and civilian service in Austria, Pax Christi Austria suggests starting a third opportunity for training for social defense that is dedicated to a concept of nonviolence. This is not meant as a defense of territory but of democracy, human rights and solidarity.

Pax Christi Germany


pax christi Germany calls forvthe German government and the EU must impose sanctions on Israel’s settlement policy, which violates international law, in order to make a two-state solution possible.


In light of the 9th meeting of foreign ministers of the “Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution,” which began on April 20, 2026, in Brussels, pax christi calls on the German government to finally recognize the State of Palestine.

Pax Christi Italy


The national assembly of Pax Christi Italy concluded April 12 with a strong call to “disarm hearts to disarm empires.” Participants highlighted global conflicts, rising militarization, and inequality.


A clear message emerged: organize resistance through peace education, strengthening commitment to disarmament, intercultural dialogue, and independent information that amplifies grassroots voices. The assembly closed with a symbolic tribute to Palestinian children killed in war, stressing the human cost of conflict.

Pax Christi Scotland


Pax Christi Scotland was one of the many organisations which co-badged the Scottish Trades Union Congress ‘Stop The War’ Rally in Glasgow on Saturday, April 11.


Despite the bitterly cold wind blowing off the River Clyde, delegates, including Pax Christi Scotland chair Marian Pallister, stood below the statue of La Passionara to hear speeches from many organisations, including Scottish Campaign Against Nuclear Disarmament, Patrick Harvie, former leader of the Scottish Green Party, and Glasgow Iranians who have enriched Scottish society.
