Pax Christi France


Pax Christi France has launched its international “Young People for Peaceˮ group: a network of actors united by solidarity and committed to peace education. 

The group embodies a strong ambition: to make solidarity and peace education guiding values in life, in defence of human dignity, justice, and the protection of Creation.

Pax Christi Austria


In Upper Austria a new network of peace activists has formed consisting of representatives of churches, political parties and individuals under the leadership of the Catholic Action. It comprises some 25 organizations and Pax Christi Upper Austria is also a member.


On 26 April 2026 a first public event was held on the Main Square of Linz which was attended by a few hundred people. The main speaker was the actress Konstanze Breitebner, who moderates the Mauthausen liberation anniversary each year.

pax christi Germany was represented at this yearʼs Catholic Convention in Würzburg with the motto “Peace – It takes many to achieve great thingsˮ and the symbolism of the ant. Ants live in well-functioning communities, work together successfully, and thus achieve things that far exceed the capabilities of any single individual.


We wanted to take this as an example and invited visitors to work with us on our peace-building project and to engage in conversations with us about peace related topics.

Pax Christi Italy


Pax Christi Italy has announced a new online reflection programme promoted by its “Women for Peaceˮ working group, focusing on the role of women in peacebuilding and reconciliation processes. The initiative follows recommendations that emerged during the Movementʼs recent Congress and seeks to encourage greater participation and representation of women within peace movements and nonviolent activism.


The series will explore the relationship between womenʼs perspectives, nonviolence, spirituality, and social transformation as alternatives to patriarchal and oppressive models.

Pax Christi England and Wales


The Cambridge group is preparing an event in July, entitled “Bread not Bombsˮ, during which bread will be baked according to recipes from Ukraine, Sudan and Palestine.


There will also be displays providing information on the situation in these countries, as well as resources from Pax Christi England and Wales.
