Eclipse Day Special--The Future of Humanity

Earlier this year, I added a new topic to most of my public presentations. That topic is delicate, arguably the most delicate one in the history of humanity. It's all about the possible extinction of the human species.

Could Humans Become Extinct?

When I talk about that topic in my presentations, I take a look at history and science. Regarding history, I talk about what happened at Easter Island from 500 A.D. to 1722. As for science, I talk about six "big picture" scientists--and what they all have in common, except for one.

Here are a few slides that I use in my talks:

Food. Health. Planet. Our Future as a Species.

Stated the above quote to his good friend Ted Turner twenty years ago shortly before he died

One of the world's most accomplished physicians, he led the global project (1966 to 1980) to eradicate smallpox.

Manages a team of scientists at Microsoft that studies global trends that affect our lives. An exceptionally well-informed scientist.

One of the world's few prominent climate scientists who courageously speaks his mind about the horrors of climate change

One of the most independent and widely respected "big picture" scientists--ever. Still alive and well at 98.

The ONLY one on my esteemed list of six "big picture" scientists who fully understands the crucial role that our food choices play in our health, climate change and the future of the human species. Why is that?

It's because of the "protein myth" --  A phenomenon that locks the brains of over 90% of the smartest and best educated people in the world, including most scientists, environmentalists, physicians, political & religious leaders and most CEOs of huge corporations. They all sincerely believe that human beings "need" to eat lots of animal-based foods in order to be healthy.

We don't! And the sooner we blow up that ridiculous myth, the sooner we'll begin to gain serious traction in restoring the fragile ecosystem that sustains us as a species.

The Bottom Line. As those brilliant minds are "unlocked," many world-changing, plant-based solutions (to some of our most crucial problems) will finally start making it to the table for consideration.

Have Message, Will Travel.  Please contact me (by return email) if you'd like to discuss scheduling a presentation at a venue near you. I have given variations of my "big picture" sustainability talk to many types of audiences and, while it's alarming to many, the message seems to resonate with conscientious people of all ages and backgrounds.

It's a topic that every human being needs to learn about--while there is still time to do something about it.

Food. Health. Planet. Our Future as a Species .

Upcoming Presentations:  Ithaca, NY, in Sept., Ontario, Canada in Oct., Buffalo and Rochester in Nov., Fort Myers, FL ( VegFest), in Jan. 2018 and at the in Honolulu and Maui in April. To view all 48 slides in my latest presentation,  click here.
