Eclipse Season Webinar. Saturday July 6th, 10-11:30 am EDT
A talk on the July 2 solar eclipse and the July 16 lunar eclipse
Yes everyone is asking me if I would do something on the coming eclipses and summer planetary weather, so I have decided to do just that. But as you know eclipses are activated beyond the date of the eclipse alone and because I will be speaking at the wonderful Great Lakes Astrology Conference I cannot do this prior to the July 2 eclipse.
We will talk about
- July 2 Solar and July 16 Lunar Eclipses (Even though the July 2 eclipse will have taken place already it will still be activated for months to come)
- When they were and will be activated. As you know eclipses are not one off events. They reverberate and activate degrees that then get reactivated when planets aspect them. How they fit in with the Saturn, Ketu (South Node), Pluto configurations this summer.
- What they will do through the houses (in relation to either your ascendant or sun sign) and if they activate certain planets
- Where in the world these eclipses might be active. I have already told my classes that if you look at the path of the total solar eclipse on July 2nd it will be 100 percent visible off the coast of New Zealland and through Chile and Argentina.
And while I would love to do this for free you all know how much work I put into this and how extensive the handouts are so I will be charging just $25 for a 90 minute lecture. You cannot really beat that. You must register by the end of the day July 1st to get that rate. After that it will go up to $35. Still can't be beat.
If you sign up and cannot make it live you will get the recordings and handouts. If you already heard me talk about these eclipses then there will be some repetition. And if you never took a class with me you will get a separate handout on theory but in this we will dive right in.
The workshop will be presented from a Tropical and Sidereal (Vedic) perspective because as you know I consider the planets and their relationship to one another to be most important and they will be in the same relationship to the eclipses regardless of sign and nakshatra.

. Get the recordings and handouts. The panchang (almanac) and look at the classical ways to choose the most auspicious dates and times to begin events. We will go over planetary hours, as well as the Panchang elements: day of the week, Nakshatra, Tithi, Yoga, and Karana. Rules for specific topics such as marriage, surgery, moving house, travel etc. We will go over setting up an electional chart from start to finish. We will use my marriage date and time and surgery date and time as examples of how to set up an chart from start to finish, as well as surgery chart. Looking at the chart of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Advanced Methods of Prediction. Get the recordings and handouts. Continuing with more muhurta techniques including tarabala. Adding to the repertoire of Vimshottari Dasha and transits, we will look at Varshaphal (solar returns), which is part of Tajika, or Persian, astrology that entered the Indian system around the end of the first millennium. Yogini Dasha and then we will blend them all to find the key to forecasting. Case studies
included Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jussie Smollett, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry. will illustrate.
Saturday June 15. 10:00-5:00 PM. More Yogini Dasha. Introduction to Jaimini Techniques. Karaka system; Rashi aspects, Arudha Lagna, Chara Dasha, etc. Remedial Measures Case studies. This will be taken, as much as possible, from the Upadesa Sutras, the classic text on Jaimini astrology, which is the basis for many (though not all) teachers' approach to this system. Introduction includes what I have found to work. Case studies: Jussie Smollett, Prince William (these two are astro time twins born on same day), Donald Trump, Meghan Markle.

Book is priced at $24.95 plus postage so we are offering it for $20.95 inclusive media mail postage. The book, which was first released in 1997 was re-released in 2012 with added notes, and revisions and additions, including a new foreword and epilogue and larger print. The book was taken from Jim's notes, and was compiled, edited, and added to by Kenneth Irving after Jim's death in 1995. It is now published by Words and Things, a publishing venture by Kenneth Irving and myself. Allow for 7-10 days for delivery.
