Frequently Asked Questions:
How does interment into the Eco Eternity Forest work?
Cremains are placed in a biodegradable urn and buried at the base of a selected tree. This process allows remaining nutrients to be absorbed by the tree roots, in essence, becoming a living memorial. Families are welcome to schedule their own private interment service, or our staff can provide assistance if desired.
How do I select a tree?
There are two types of trees available in the Eco Eternity Forecast: Red Maple and Black Cherry. Each available tree was selected by an arborist based on its health, location, and maturity. Trees vary in size and location. Schedule a guided tour of the forest today. If you are not within driving distance from Pocono Plateau, we can send tree photos for review online.
What happens if a tree falls or becomes damaged?
Tree plots are leased for a period of 100 years. If a reserved tree dies before any interments, another tree can be selected. If a tree dies with interments, a tree sapling will be planted nearby.
Can I have my pets interred in the forest?
Your may purchase a plot for your pets or the pet's cremated remains may be combined with their loved one during their interment at no additional charge.
