The City of Cape Coral has retained a team of consultants to develop an Economic Development Strategic Plan for Cape Coral. This initiative focuses on the importance of growing our city's economy at a pace equal to or exceeding our projected increase in population.

Get Connected at Our Invitation Only Industry Roundtable Meetings


The Office of Business & Economic Development has started hosting a monthly Business Roundtable meeting to connect with industry leaders and discuss challenges faced by the Cape Coral business community.

 

The forum provides an opportunity to consider the City’s economic outlook and industry-specific opportunities. 


Business & Industry Roundtable Schedule & Featured Topics:

  • Friday, May 24, 8 a.m. at City Hall - "CRA"
  • Friday, June 21, 8 a.m. at City Hall - "Retail"
  • Friday, July 26, 8 a.m. at City Hall - "Lenders/Financing/Insurance"

Lee Health Expansion on Surfside

2441 Surfside Blvd, Suite 202

  • Adding 15,000 sq ft of space to the two-story outpatient complex.
  • Specialists employed by Lee Physician Group in orthopedics, endocrinology, rheumatology, and rehabilitation medicine will go into the new space.
  • Opened early April 2024

Experience Health & Wellness Center

2307 Sandoval Blvd.

  • 8,620 SF-3 Unit building
  • Medial office
  • Two additional units will be available
  • Demolition of the existing structure has begun
  • Construction to begin in Spring 2024

Goodwill Retail Store

1499 SW Pine Island Rd.

  • 19,954 SF building
  • Site Development has begun.

  • Total 10,400 SF

  • $920 Million Project

  • Q1 2024: Infrastructure Start

7 Islands - Gulf Gateway Resort

  • Architects under contract for all island structures.
  • Army Corp of Engineer application was submitted in January 2024, and the Project Manager was assigned. Anticipate an 18-24-month application review period.
