Kings Mountain, North Carolina – Earlier today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that NVR, Inc. [NYSE: NVR], a leading homebuilder, will create 261 new jobs in an expansion, which includes both Cleveland and Cumberland counties. The company will make new investments in both communities, which equates to a combined total of $33.9 million.
NVR has had a presence in Kings Mountain-Cleveland County since 2002, where they currently employ 230 people, and construct an average of 60 homes per week. As it relates to the company’s existing facility in Kings Mountain-Cleveland County NC, the project represents the creation of 58 new jobs, and a new capital investment of $5.2 million.
Local elected officials in the community expressed their excitement after the Governor publicly shared details on the company’s plans:
