City Debuts Original Song and Music Video
in Celebration of 50th Anniversary
| | |
The City is proud to announce the release of an original song and music video, “Livin’ Rancho Cucamonga,” marking the beginning of a multi-year celebration leading up to the City’s 50th Anniversary of Incorporation in 2027.
Officially debuted during the 2025 Mayor's State of the City Address, the song is now available for streaming and download across multiple platforms. Created in collaboration with acclaimed singer-songwriters Tony Lucca and Keaton Simons, the project was born from a desire to encapsulate the energy, heritage, and pride of Rancho Cucamonga—a world-class community nestled in the heart of Southern California’s Inland Empire. Proceeds from downloads will benefit the Randall Lewis Second Story and Beyond®.
| | 6th Street Cycle Track Provides Safe Active Transportation Option | | |
Rancho Cucamonga partnered with the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) to support their Active Transportation Projects across the County. Recently, the 6th Street Cycle Project was completed and opened to the public as part of this initiative. The project was built as a Class IV protected bikeway along 6th Street from Haven Avenue to Rochester Avenue within the City’s HART District.
A cycle track is a protected bikeway designed to enhance cyclists safety and comfort by physically separating them from vehicular traffic. This protection is achieved through a combination of barriers such as pavement markings with delineators, curbs, bollards, and other physical barriers. The 6th Street Cycle Track includes both a buffered bikeway with delineators in certain sections and a raised cycle track in other sections. Other improvements included median, sidewalk, curb ramp, and curb and gutter upgrades.
This project provides cyclists with a safer and more accessible route and advances the City’s goal of enhancing its main bicycle network.
