The eighth annual Design, Engineering and Manufacturing Camp was held at the Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy, June 4-8, 2018. This year was the largest Camp DEM with 146 total students participating. Students from eight different school systems attended the camp. During Camp DEM, campers participated in:
Laser integrated design
Rapid prototyping a race car
Building a hovercraft
Designing and fabricating a rocket
Building KNEX solar power cars

Whitfield County Schools Striving to Improve Literacy
Whitfield County Schools, an Innovation Fund implementation grantee, received national recognition for its birth to age eight literacy initiatives, including Recipes for Success, Learning Academies, and Book Blasts.
