Significant Commercial Leasing Activity, Colliers International, 2025 Q1-Q2

Boca Raton has one of the LOWEST PROPERTY TAX RATES for a full-service city in Florida.

Boca Raton Leads Palm Beach County in Commercial Leasing Activity

Boca Raton boasted 127,735 sq. ft. of significant commercial leasing activity in the first half of 2025 — far surpassing West Palm Beach’s 21,160 sq. ft. This strong performance reflects the City's prime location, top-tier commercial spaces, and business-friendly environment, cementing Boca Raton as South Florida’s go-to destination for growth and investment.

Growth Continues at Research Park at FAU

Research Park at FAU is seeing strong leasing activity, with over 25,000 square feet recently signed and several tenants planning expansions. The Park still offers prime space for corporate headquarters, technology, and bioscience firms. With direct access to FAU’s talent, research, and innovation ecosystem, it remains a hub for growth and collaboration.

BRiC Development Moves Forward

Plans are advancing to transform the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC), the City’s largest office campus and birthplace of the IBM PC. New site plans include multifamily housing, retail, entertainment, and an indoor pickleball facility. The project will add residences, shops, dining, and wellness amenities, enhancing BRiC as a hub for innovation and community life.

The Office of Economic Development recently partnered with the South Florida Business Journal to host a “Breakfast with the Journal” event, held in collaboration with Grover Corlew and Venture X. The event took place at Venture X's newly opened space at the recently renovated Palmetto Central, 1489 W. Palmetto Park Road.

This well-attended gathering brought together 100+ local executives, business leaders, and community stakeholders for a morning of networking, discussion, and economic development updates. The event highlighted the region’s growing momentum and underscored the importance of continued public-private collaboration to drive innovation and investment across South Florida.
