Luxury Jeweler Celebrates Milestone

For 30 years, IberJoya Diamonds has been part of Boca Raton’s business community. Founded in Madrid, Spain, in 1949, the family-owned luxury jeweler is now led by founder Angel Manrique’s two sons and specializes in loose natural diamonds and custom designs. The company’s new Boca Raton location serves as both a retail showroom and manufacturing facility, showcasing its commitment to craftsmanship and quality.

Autonomous Vehicle Technology

Boca Raton-based company Guident successfully hosted its 5th Autonomous Vehicle Conference at BRiC, bringing together 300+ industry leaders, innovators, transportation professionals, and business executives to explore the future of autonomous vehicle technology and mobility. The event featured participation from Boca Raton Mayor Andy Thomson, Council Member Yvette Drucker, and the City's Public Works & Engineering Director Zach Bihr. The conference highlighted Boca Raton’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation and underscored the value of collaboration between the public and private sectors in shaping smarter, more connected communities.

Florida Atlantic University’s Laboratory Schools are redefining the high school experience through research-driven learning, mentorship, and real-world application, highlighted by a new facility, a teacher training center, and student research published in leading medical journals.

A New Cultural Partnership

Glass House Boca Raton and the Boca Raton Museum of Art unveiled a cultural partnership that further strengthens Downtown Boca’s cultural community. Through this collaboration, Glass House residents will receive exclusive Museum Director Circle membership access, including curated events, private tours, and unique opportunities to engage with Museum leadership. Partnerships like this continue to elevate the City as a dynamic destination where culture, community, and investment thrive.

Business Migration Discussion

At the South Florida Real Estate Summit held in May at the Hard Rock Hotel, Economic Development Manager Jessica Del Vecchio participated as a panelist on “Business Flows: A Tri-County View of Business Migration to South Florida.” The discussion explored how ongoing business migration is shaping economic growth and influencing both commercial and residential real estate markets across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Economic Update Presented to Realtors Alliance

The Office of Economic Development recently presented the latest economic landscape and business trends in Boca Raton to members of the South Florida Realtors Commercial Alliance. The session provided an opportunity to share updates on local market conditions, growth sectors, and development activity shaping the City’s commercial environment. It was a valuable conversation with RCA, the third-largest Realtor association in the county, representing 33,000+ members across South Florida and the Treasure Coast.

Next Generation of Innovators

Florida Atlantic University’s Entrepreneurship Institute’s 2026 Business Pitch Competition & Wave Poster Showcase brought together students, entrepreneurs and community members to highlight innovative research and startup ventures across multiple competition tracks. Jessica Del Vecchio served as one of three judges for the competition, helping evaluate emerging ideas and entrepreneurial talent from across the region.

Welcome to Boca Raton. The Office of Economic Development is proud to announce that the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Boca Raton Pediatric Specialty Care Center has chosen Boca Raton as the location for its latest facility.

The new center expands access to pediatric cardiology services, including EKGs, echocardiograms and fetal cardiac care, bringing specialized treatment closer to home for families across South Palm Beach County. This important investment strengthens local access to high-quality care and supports the health and well-being of our community.

City Update to Business Leaders

The Boca Regional Chamber's May Membership Breakfast brought together business and community leaders for an update on Boca Raton’s continued growth and momentum. Mayor Andy Thomson shared the City’s priorities and vision for the future, while City Manager Mark Sohaney highlighted why Boca Raton remains a premier destination to live, work, visit, and invest.

Excellence in Infrastructure and Financial Stewardship

The City continues to earn recognition for excellence in both financial management and public infrastructure. Boca Raton recently received its 19th consecutive state procurement award and extended its 43-year streak of national budget honors, while Utility Services earned the 2025 Outstanding Water Treatment Plant Award for the second consecutive year. These achievements reflect the City's commitment to responsible governance, reliable infrastructure and high-quality public services — providing the strong foundation that supports business investment, economic growth and long-term community success.

Boca Raton continues to gain international and national recognition, with outstanding natural amenities and high-profile sporting events that boost visibility, tourism, and economic impact.


International Blue Flag Beach

  • Boca Raton officially raised a blue flag AGAIN, as Spanish River Park Beach earned the International Blue Flag Beach Award for the second consecutive year. One of just 3 beaches in the US to earn the award, which recognizes excellence in environmental education, water quality, environmental management, and safety. 


World Cup Excitement in Boca Raton

  • The Curaçao Men's National Team selected Boca Raton's Florida Atlantic University as its official training site and team headquarters during the FIFA World Cup 2026™. The City will serve as a hub for the team's fans and media during their stay.


The Boca Raton Bowl 2026

  • The 13th Annual Boca Raton Bowl has a date for 2026. The game will be played on Friday, December 18, at 11am at Florida Atlantic University's Flagler Credit Union Stadium. Airing live on ESPN, the game draws a national fan base each year and highlights Boca Raton to nearly 2 million viewers. 
    
    
    New for 2026,
    the Boca Bowl is launching its Take Your Office to the Game initiative, with packages starting at $1,600 and including 10 tickets, a reserved on-site tailgate space with tent, tables and chairs, and five parking passes.
  • A Boca Raton jewelry designer’s handmade necklace was featured in The Devil Wears Prada 2, marking a major milestone for her emerging brand and highlighting the growing visibility of creative businesses on the national stage.
    
  • Expansion Solutions Magazine highlights how Boca Raton is advancing transportation innovation and next-generation mobility, from autonomous shuttles and advanced air mobility to regional connectivity and research-driven partnerships with FAU and Lynn University.
    
  • A regenerative medicine company secured $2.5 million in private financing as it prepares for a Boca Raton headquarters relocation, supporting future Nasdaq plans and the creation of 100 high-paying local jobs.
