Research Park at FAU Fuels Regional Growth
The Research Park at FAU generated an estimated $610 million in regional economic impact in 2025, with its 49 businesses contributing $445 million in direct expenditures and generating an additional $165 million in economic activity. The innovation hub supported 1,505 jobs with average annual earnings of $115,768, while continuing to foster emerging technologies and entrepreneurship through programs. The Eclipse Breaks Ground
A new mixed-use destination is taking shape at the Office Depot headquarters campus in Boca Raton. Developed by BH Group and PEBB Enterprises, The Eclipse will bring together luxury residences, office space—including the existing Office Depot headquarters—and ground-floor retail. Plans include 493 residential units, approximately 425,000 square feet of office space, and 20,000 square feet of retail, representing continued investment in Boca Raton.

Related Ross Acquires BRiC
The developer has acquired the 124-acre Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC), expanding the company’s presence in Boca Raton. The firm plans to continue operating BRiC as an office and technology campus while developing long-term plans for the property, which is already home to a mix of technology, healthcare, and finance companies. Law Firm Expands in Boca Raton
Senior Justice Law Firm is expanding its presence in Boca Raton with a new nearly 10,000-square-foot headquarters at The Park at Broken Sound. The move marks a significant expansion from the firm’s previous 1,500-square-foot location and includes signage and naming rights for the building. The firm plans to add to its Boca Raton workforce as it continues to grow.

Date set for the Boca Raton Bowl
The 13th annual Boca Raton Bowl returns to Flagler Credit Union Stadium at Florida Atlantic University on December 18, bringing college football fans and visitors to Boca Raton for a nationally televised postseason event. Since its debut in 2014, the Bowl Game has welcomed tens of thousands of fans to the City and Palm Beach County, generating significant economic impact while showcasing our destination to audiences nationwide. The Battle Continues in Boca Raton
The Pepsi National Battle of the Bands returns to Boca Raton for its second year, bringing thousands of attendees to Florida Atlantic University during MLK Weekend, Jan. 15–17, 2027. The NBOTB is a premier celebration of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) marching bands, showcasing music, culture, and leadership.
2027 bands participating include Alabama State University, Edward Waters University, Miles College, Bethune-Cookman University, and Florida A&M University.
The nationally recognized event supports tourism and generates economic activity for local businesses, hotels, and restaurants while showcasing Boca Raton as a destination for major events. Get your tickets today.

Planning for the Future of Public Safety in Boca Raton
As Boca Raton continues to grow, the City is evaluating options for a new Police Services Headquarters to support the community's current and future public safety needs. The existing headquarters, built nearly 40 years ago for a much smaller community, no longer fully meets today's operational, space, technology, and resiliency needs.

FDOT State Road 5/U.S. 1
Resurfacing Project
FDOT has begun improvements along U.S. 1 from Camino Real to NE 8th Street/Mizner Blvd, with construction expected to continue through late 2027. The project will repave the roadway, add separated bicycle lanes, widen select sidewalks, improve pedestrian crossings, and traffic signals designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and traffic flow.
Periodic lane closures are expected during construction, with access to homes and businesses maintained. Learn more on the FDOT project website.
