Many small businesses are so focused on day-to-day aspects in their business that they don’t have the time to invest in the online growth of their business. The DEP’s Digital Service Squads (DSS) can help. They offer one-on-one training to help small businesses figure out what they need to do to get online or improve their online presence. Some clients have been off and running after just one meeting. The DEP is available to all registered businesses with 0 to 49 employees. See the full list of eligibility criteria on the Business Link website.
The DEP, delivered through Business Link and Digital Main Street, is designed to support economic recovery for small businesses. This service is completely free thanks to funding from the Government of Alberta and PrairiesCan.

CANADA DIGITAL ADOPTION PROGRAMS

The Canadian Digital Adoption Program is for slightly larger businesses, the ones with at least one employee or which have made $30,000 or more in revenue in the previous business year. Eligible businesses work with an e-commerce advisor—similar to the DSS—to create a spending plan. Upon approval, they can receive up to $2400 in grant money to spend on their e-commerce efforts! See the full list of eligibility criteria on the Business Link website.

ADDRESSING THE AGRICULTURE LABOUR TASK FORCE GRANT PROGRAM
Record-setting economic growth in Alberta’s agriculture and agri-food sector has ignited demand for workers across the province.
To support producers and processors, Alberta, in partnership with the federal government, is providing $2.5 million to Agriculture for Life to help companies recruit, hire, and retain workers in the agriculture and agri-food industry.
The funding will provide eligible companies with grants to increase public awareness of agricultural career opportunities, as well as human resources training to support worker retention.
The 26 week Self-Employment Training Program is fully funded by the Government of Alberta and is FREE to eligible participants. We provide workshops, training, support, guidance and 1-1 coaching to help you turn your skills and abilities into your own business.
