WASAGA SUNDAES

Enjoy a sundae on Sunday in Wasaga Beach! Wasaga Sundaes returns this summer.

Wasaga Sundaes is every Sunday throughout the summer from July 3rd to September 4th.This years map will show a trail of the featured ice cream treats to explore every Sunday throughout the summer. We encourage you to complete the trail and taste them all!


After a visitor purchases a sundae on a Sunday, they can enter to win great prizes with the receipt or a photo of the sundae purchased. They will also vote for their favorite sundae in Wasaga Beach or a chance to win prizes. Draws will be based on responses each week and will drawn on the following Tuesday.

Beachfront Summer Kick-Off


Are you a business within the beachfront area? If so you'll want to participate in this! Sign up today.


Help celebrate that kick off to summer at Wasaga's beachfront! The Beachfront district has a special offering for residents. On June 25th, the Town will be offering free parking at four of the municipal parking areas. In addition, businesses will be offering special promotions for locals of Wasaga Beach.


Participating businesses can offer offer a promotion for locals (Such as a draw, a contest, a discount or a special offer!). Participating business will be included in our promo material and advertising. Want to participate? Fill out the form linked here.

Patio Music Program


The patio music program is back this year and will feature artists on the patios of local establishments throughout the summer until Thanksgiving or until the maximum amount of funding has been allocated. The Open Patio Music Program will provide a grant for 100% up to $200 for eligible music artist costs and will be paid directly to the artist. Wasaga Beach businesses are eligible to apply to the program up to two times.


The program is open to any business with a patio or seating space with the ability to accommodate an artist(s). Applications will be processed on a “first come, first served basis” from the now until Thanksgiving or until the grant funds have been full allocated.

Open Patios Program 2022


Calling all restaurants! Have you applied for the 2022 Open Patio Program yet?


The Town of Wasaga Beach has continued the Open Patios Program into 2022. The program was introduced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and is intended to support local restaurants by providing flexibility to restaurant owners and their seating options.


Apply now and set up your extended temporary patio.

Façade Improvement Program

Are you a business looking to update your sign, hard landscaping, lighting or another improvement to the frontage of your business? If so, this program is for you!

The program is a first come, first serve basis and is accepting applications until funds have been fully allocated. Apply today!

The program will provide a grant up to 50% of the eligible costs up to $2,000 per project.

The Façade Improvement Program is a FREE municipal Grant Program Package that assists property owners looking to revitalize and/or restore the frontage of their existing commercial, institutional and mixed-use buildings in town. Projects can include side and rear facing facades that have high public visibility.

Join us for Trail Tunes!


Get out on the trails this International Trails Day for Trail Tunes, a collaborative, regional event connecting over 100kms of trail and rich musical culture between Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, and Clearview Township. Taking place on Saturday, June 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. residents and visitors are encouraged to bike or hike, through Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Clearview enjoying free, live music at trailheads in each municipality, ending with a headliner concert at Centennial Park in Clearview!

Congratulations and Welcome to Wasaga Beach!


Congratulations to Wasaga Family Foot and Orthotic Clinic on its grand opening this week. Mayor Nina Bifolchi and members of council, as well as economic development officer Kait Monsma, attended the grand opening for Wasaga Family Foot and Orthotic Clinic. Congratulations to chiropodists Jacob Cook and Quinn Sallows, who have taken over from Norman Kew. Welcome to Wasaga Beach, Jacob and Quinn! The clinic is at 587 River Road West, Unit 8. Cultural Competency Training

FREE 2-Part Session

June 9th and 16th - 9am to 11am


This training is an introductory examination of First Nation/Aboriginal issues in Canada today. The main purpose is to provide participants with the tools they need in order to begin to establish healthy, viable relationships with First Nation/Aboriginal communities and clients. It has been modified and improved over 15 years of interaction with audiences totalling close to 10,000 from diverse backgrounds. It has been described by participants as the most concise, clear and accessible training they have ever received.

 

In this presentation, facilitator Kelly Brownbill takes great care to prepare participants to view history from a balanced, guilt-free perspective.

Wasaga Beach's Food Festival Celebrating Local Restaurants and Eateries.

Come try the diversity of delicious culinary experiences in Wasaga Beach.

This month-long event is geared towards promoting local restaurants, each offering its own unique specialties and style.

A prix fixe menu will be offered at each location providing wonderful food for a great value.

The menu will include an appetizer, soup or salad with an entree and dessert at set rates.
