FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
EMPLOYING YOUNG TALENT INCENTIVE
Small businesses (less than 100 employees) can receive an initial $1,000 incentive upon hiring and an additional $1,000 retention incentive after six months for each youth (aged 15 to 29) hired through Employment Ontario's Youth Job Connection.
TRIPLE P PROGRAM
Innovative for-profit businesses can receive up to $10,000 at 85% of eligible costs to purchase equipment or technology related to an innovative commercial product, process or service.

Deadline: Ongoing intake until funds are allocated.
2019 FOUNDERS CHOICE AWARDS
Founders Circle is an organization that aims to find a Muskoka-based entrepreneur/innovator with the best idea and plan for a successful business. Total prize money will increase from $10,000 to $20,000. First prize is $15,000 and second prize is $5,000.

2019 IMPACT AWARDS
$7,000 in Innovation Awards available through the Parry Sound Muskoka Community Network IMPACT Awards Program. This year 7 different innovation awards of $1,000 each are available.

Muskoka 4.0 - Muskoka Futures
Muskoka 4.0 is Muskoka Community Futures Development Corporation’s inaugural open competition for $250,000 in early-stage investment. The objective is to attract businesses that can demonstrate they will have a significant economic impact in Muskoka.

Deadline is  12:00 p.m. on March 11, 2019.

Digital Main Street Launches Grant Program
Ontario’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and the Ontario BIA Association (OBIAA) announced the official launch of Digital Main Street’s exciting Grants Program across Ontario.

The  Digital Main Street Grants Program provides funding to qualifying small “main street” businesses to enhance online promotion, selling and operations.

  • Digital Transformation Grant: There will be 2,000 grants of $2,500 each available to qualifying small “main street” businesses to help them adopt new digital technologies. Participating businesses will learn how to adopt new digital technologies such as e-commerce systems, social media marketing, and back-office systems like payroll and inventory. 

Applicants will access the grant process through the Grant Program Portal, on the Digital Main Street website at  www.digitalmainstreet.ca/ontario  .

IMPACT AWARDS - PMCN
The Parry Sound Muskoka Community Network is offering 7 innovation awards of $1000 each! The IMPACT Awards are available for businesses and non-profit organizations within Parry Sound and Muskoka.

The 3 finalists in each category will have a professional video made (worth $3,000) and tickets to attend the awards.

The seven categories of innovation are:
  1. Innovation with Customers
  2. Innovations with Suppliers/Partners
  3. Innovation with Employees
  4. Innovation with the Public
  5. Innovation with Competitors
  6. Community-Focused Innovation through Social Enterprise
  7. Innovation in Small Communities (Less than 2,500 people)

The awards will be presented on April 11, 2019 at the JW Marriott in Minett.
