News and Information

Celebrating Our Local Manufacturers

Manufacturing Month is celebrated every October to recognize the contributions manufacturers make in our local economy, and to empower manufacturers to come together and address the skills and applicant gaps due to the lack of awareness of career pathways in manufacturing.

We would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to the manufacturing businesses that call Rancho Cucamonga home. From biotech to breweries, to high tech and commercial printing to pastries, the City of Rancho Cucamonga would like to extend a huge thank you to all our manufacturers!

National Women's Small Business Month

Every October, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) honors the milestone achievements of women-owned businesses. The City of Rancho Cucamonga joins the SBA and celebrates the Rancho Cucamonga women-owned businesses and their lasting impact on the local economy.

To celebrate female entrepreneurs, Rancho Cucamonga women-owned businesses are invited to submit a request to be featured on the City’s social media channels and on the Economic Development website. To participate, businesses must have an active business license, and all requested information must be provided.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Cybersecurity Awareness Month, celebrated every October, was created in 2004 as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to be safe and secure online.

Here are four simple ways to keep your online activity more secure:

1.  Use strong passwords and download a password manager

2.  Turn on multifactor authentication

3.  Recognize and report phishing

4.  Update your software
