Thousand Oaks Boulevard. Social Monk Cheesecake Factory debuted its first "fast casual Asian concept" called Social Monk Asian Kitchen, at The Promenade Westlake Village. Social Monk's menu was created by award-winning Singaporean Chef Mohan Ismail. Social Monk is located at 4000 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. RDPH Properties RDPH Properties, a nonresidential business operator relocated their office to the City, located at 200 N. Westlake Boulevard. Supercuts You can find the newest "no-appointment-required" Supercuts hair salon at the North Ranch Mall, located at 3825 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Auto Sales A total of 1,350 new vehicles were sold in January 2019. New vehicles sales decreased by 33% from December 2018 and decreased by 5% from a year ago. Additionally, 788 pre-owned vehicles were sold.

Thousand Oaks Unemployment According to the California Employment Development Department, Thousand Oaks preliminary January 2019 unemployment rate is 3.5% - up from 2.7% in December 2018. The City has a total of 65,900 in the labor force with 63,600 who are employed. Ventura County Unemployment The California Labor Market report revealed that Ventura County’s January 2019 unemployment rate of 4.4% was up from a revised 3.7% in December 2018. A total of 5,600 non-farm jobs were lost in January 2019. However, 200 jobs were gained, for a net loss of 5,400 jobs. The decline of jobs is mainly attributed to a seasonal workforce during the holiday season and partly to the Federal government shutdown. The loss in jobs includes: 2,000 in trade, transportation and utilities 1,500 in educational and health services 800 in government 500 in professional and business services 200 in construction 200 in financial services 200 in other services 100 in information 100 in leisure and hospitality  The gain in jobs includes 200 in manufacturing.
