Greenbelt Foundation grant will help to grow Georgina's Field to Table event
Georgina's Field to Table event opens the farm gates of Georgina's growers to the public; providing tours, samples and showcasing our rich agriculture community. We're pleased to announce that the Town of Georgina has received a grant from the Greenbelt Foundation for our upcoming 2020 date in August, which will allow us to further support our agriculture community.

Why is boosting Georgina's agriculture awareness so important?
As the population increases, more pressure is put on our food and agriculture community to meet demand. Although the majority of our food is produced by corporate farms, the population is looking for alternatives. Moving to a sustainable system is the way of the future.

Sustainable agriculture is supporting local and providing natural farming methods that are profitable and environmentally friendly. We are committed to creating awareness of the sustainable movement by educating our residents and supporting our local farmers to meet the needs of our community now and in the future.
