ClearWater Farm - a living laboratory for sustainability
Georgina’s very own ClearWater Farm has been featured in Her Honour, the Lieutentant Govenor’s first story about sustainability.

"Throughout Ontario, there are remarkable stories of how people are driving sustainability, at home and around the world. Often they may not actually use the word sustainability but the purpose of these projects and initiatives is to make our communities and our lives more resilient. We are a work in progress – certainly not perfect, but clearly making an attempt"- Her Honour, Ontario Lt.-Gov. Elizabeth Dowdeswell of Ontario.

Sustainability in agriculture is sustaining farmers, resources and communities with natural farming methods that are profitable and environmentally friendly. The sustainable movement starts with educating our community, particularly our young people and  ClearWater Farm is a shining example of this.

Georgina is committed to supporting our local farmers, encouraging innovation and educating the public on sustainable agriculture, so that we can meet the needs of our community now and in the future. Visit our website for more information on how Georgina is bringing awareness to our agriculture sector and how you can support our local farmers.
Streetscaping to enhance downtown experience
Georgina’s Business Improvement Areas (BIA’s) in Jackson’s Point, Keswick and Sutton house approximately 20 per cent of Georgina’s business community and are an integral part of the Town's identity.

The Streetscraping Improvement Plan project is currently collecting feedback from residents and businesses. The findings and proposal will be brought to Council by the end of 2019. This project will revitalize downtown streets, beautify the area and enhancing the dining and shopping experience.
