Jackson Motors top-ranked for quality pre-owned vehicles
|
TINCAP - Barry Jackson knows cars.
The owner of Jackson Motors and Marine, along with his partner Wendy Hyde, comes from a family line dating back more than seven decades in automotive sales and service. Barry has a 'tried and true' reputation - and their company won the Best Price Dealer Award from AutoTrader.ca in 2020.
"We sell safe, reliable, excellent quality used vehicles at affordable prices," says Barry, who is an experienced Class 'A' Licensed Mechanic and an Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) certified Dealer and Salesperson. Wendy is also an OMVIC Certified Salesperson.
"Our inventory vehicles are hand-picked by me and each vehicle goes through a rigorous inspection and thoroughly reconditioned," says Barry.
Proud members of the UCDA (Used Car Dealers Association), Barry and Wendy started the business together in 2006. Jackson Motors and Marine is located on the same site where his father, Murray Jackson, operated Jackson Motors for 40 years until his retirement. Before starting the new business, Barry worked as a mechanic and then service manager for his grandmother Ida's Perrin's Chrysler dealership G.F. Perrin's Sales and Service for more than 30 years.
Barry has a well-known motto that says it all - Buy a car from a mechanic ... not a guy in a tie - although he jokes there is nothing wrong with wearing a tie.
"Our vehicles are guaranteed to be clean (no accidents or insurance claims) and come with a CARFAX history report," says Wendy. The majority of their pre-owned vehicles still have the remaining factory warranty.
"You can have a used vehicle for less money than new without compromising on quality - buying used is often a way to get a better-equipped vehicle than you'd be able to afford in new," says Barry.
A customer recently gave Jackson Motors and Marine a 5-star Google review and wrote: "As you get older, you start to assemble experts around you to help with the big decisions. Jackson Motors and Marine is an excellent addition of experts to our team: mechanic, dealer, salesperson, financing - all in one place. What makes it truly a 5-star, and not lost in a myriad of fours, is their service level; your needs are anticipated and if you've ever experienced that, then you will understand what a pleasure it is."
"Another thing that has made used cars more appealing is their improved reliability so your dollars will go further when buying used," Barry says, adding not-so-used vehicles can be up to 40% less than their fresh-and-new-off-the-lot counterparts.
Learn more about Jackson Motors and Marine by visiting their website, call them at 613-341-7800 or send them an email or visit Barry and Wendy at 3101 County Road 29 in Elizabethtown-Kitley Township just outside of Brockville. They take trades and financing is available.

The province is reviewing the COVID-19 colour coded response framework and any changes are still to be announced. Businesses should monitor this closely and further announcements are anticipated regarding outdoor activities and the associated businesses.
Parks Canada has indicated places administered in Ontario are delaying the season launch and most of its visitor services until at least June 2, 2021. The Rideau Canal National Historic Site will remain closed, including lockage and overnight mooring along with all camping and oTENTiks. All reservations will automatically be cancelled and refunded in full. The Parks Canada website provides detailed information on what locations are open, what visitors can expect, how to prepare for a visit and what services may be available.
The province has announced a partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce to access free rapid testing kits. The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce is asking any small- and medium-sized business – 150 employees or less including non-members - to indicate their interest of this being launched within the region. This program would be in partnership with the Employment and Education Centre and other Chambers. The goal of the program is to identify asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 within workplace that might otherwise be missed, helping to curb the spread in the workplace. Please take a minute to confirm your interest with the COVID-19 Rapid Testing Kits Survey.
Employers larger than 150 employees can apply directly to the province. For more information and eligibility visit the provincial webpage COVID-19 testing for organizations.
